Who is Paula Mee, Nutrition Consultant, Author, Lecturer?
Nutrition Consultant, Author, Lecturer. BSc., Dip Dietetics., MSc in Health Sciences., Dip Allergy, Dip Public Relations.
From Galway, I graduated from NUI Galway with a BSc. in Biochemistry. I then completed my postgraduate qualification in Dietetics and qualified as a dietitian, with a Masters in Health Science from Leeds Metropolitan University.
I practiced as a clinical dietitian in hospitals across Northern Ireland. I am a current member and a past president of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI), the professional body for dietitians in Ireland.
Prior to setting up my own consultancy in 2004, I was the Nutrition Manager for the retailer Superquinn and Senior Nutritionist in the National Dairy Council.
I have also sat on the Food Safety Consultative Council and currently sit on the Board of Consumer Foods in Bord Bia.
I am currently an associate lecturer on the Masters in Culinary Nutrition in TUD, where I teach modules on Human Nutrition and Nutrition Assessment.
